Thursday Oct. 2nd
We've moved and setup the drum kit today in the studio where
we'll start recording the instrumental track soon, which is about 12 minutes
long, and it's going to be sent to the Dream Theater songwriting contest
before Oct. 15
Sunday Oct. 5th
50% of the drums line is recorded today, which makes 6 minutes
digging into the track, plans for tomorrow are set for the keyboard line to
start, and then Aram will continue the remaining part of the song another 6
minutes later at night and after tomorrow we'll continue working on the
keyboard parts and will start recording the guitars on Tuesday.
Monday Oct. 6th
Aram recorded the remaining drum sections for the song and there left only
the final classical part on which we have to work later tomorrow.
Tuesday Oct. 7th
There was a new member in the studio today . RG3120 TW, Shant got his
new guitar, we'll write more about it later in the Equipment section.
Aram concluded the drum parts after we've finished writing the final section
of the song, later A.K. started recording the keyboards and almost done with
the whole song, today work started at 11:00 and ended 6:00 a.m. and there
has been something weird ( a laughter recorded along with one of the
Keyboard riffs) which made us scared at the beginning that where did this
thing come from ?? we're going to keep it as it is in the recording and
you'll be able to hear it, so don't be scared ...
Wednesday Oct. 8th
Today we spent a lot of time , 2pm till 8pm working on guitar parts,
and there've been a lot of tough work, we came back later at 10:00 only to
discover that we are tired and sleepy to death, so we've just passed on,
heading for tomorrow!
Thursday Oct. 9th
A.k. finished all the keyboards parts in the track today, along with
all the keyboard solos, tomorrow the bass line will start filling up. Plus
everything else should be finished tomorrow, as we've planned the mixing
will take 2 days Sat. and Sun. and on Monday we'll send the cd to Ytsejam
Records.
Friday Oct. 10th
Today we started recording the bass line at the morning , and we
ended up once again at the middle of the track at the 6th minute , as we did
for the drums. Afternoon Shant continued recording the remaining guitar
parts, some acoustic guitar touches, and the rest of the song, almost
everything is finished and clear. Tomorrow we'll continue recording the
second half for the bass guitar and we'll be done except for the Guitar
solos, that will be also ready by tomorrow night, and mixing and mastering
will start Saturday night, and mix down will take place at Sunday night...
CHEERS! this peace will kick some a$$
Saturday Oct. 11th
Final recording day started as planned for today, we started
recording the remaining parts for the bass line, and it's all complete after
3 hours work at 6p.m., later Shant recorded the remaining guitar parts and
Solos for the song, and it's now all done and ready to be mixed which will
take place tomorrow night, and has to be ready on a CD by Monday morning at
any costs.
Sunday Oct. 12th
Not much work done today by the band, but the sound engineer kept
working all the day arranging and mixing the tracks to get ready for the
final automations and mix down at night, which we started working at about
9:00p.m. everything went well. Finally it was 3:00 a.m. when we got out of
the studio with the CD in our hands. It's been a hard stressed week full of
events and experience. The CD is in Dream Theater's hand right now, hope
everything goes well.
